Is the light on a desktop power supply supposed to be lit?
There is a green light on the back of the psu on my desktop pc. It is on and NOT blinking (it's solid), and I never noticed it being on before. So I would like to know if that is normal or not. Just to be safe.

Yes it is normal to be lit. This can be a key indicator as to the functionality of your power supply. Observing this light is the first step when troubleshooting a potential power supply problem. The light comes on when it is plugged into your wall outlet. If you press the power button on your computer, and the light goes off and the computer fails to boot, then you will know the problem is with your power supply.
